We have just heard that The Buttermarket  will be open from 09.00 am on Thursday 3 September - so the Deesigner Hair team are excited to finally be able to welcome you all back.  Staff will be in touch with customers whose bookings had to be cancelled.

We have had no further update from The Buttermarket, so the salon shall remain closed today.

We hope to hear that we will be able to open tomorrow..........

On Thursday 27 August, there was a burst water main in The Buttermarket Centre, which caused issues with the power supply.  We were initially told that The Centre would need to be closed for 24 to 48 hours.  Subsequently we have been informed that the situation would be reviewed each morning, with the hope of re-opening later in the day.  

We have finally just been told that  a number of safety checks have been passed and hopefully the power will be restored around 1pm today.  As a precaution, we have cancelled all bookings for today, but, if staff and customers are allowed back into The Centre, we will open the salon and start to contact customers to reschedule their cancelled appointments.  

WE WILL UPDATE ON HERE AND SOCIAL MEDIA AS SOON AS WE ARE TOLD WE CAN RE-OPEN.

Please be patient with staff as this unfortunate closure (on one of our busiest weeks of the year) was totally out of our control.  We thank you for your understanding and patience and apologise once again for any inconvenience caused.

A brief history...........

The Deesigner Hair Studio was opened in The Buttermarket Centre, in 1995, by Ipswich born Paul Rose and his South African wife, Dee.  In 2015 the salon moved downstairs, opposite "New Look".  Deesigner Hair is now firmly established as one of the leading hair salons in Ipswich.  

Originally, the salon operated on an "appointment not necessary basis",  however, due to the increasing popularity of our stylists (many of whom have been with us for over 10 years), we are pleased to advise that our stylists are now available for appointments.  Please find your favourite stylist's working days and hours under "The Salon, Our Stylists" heading on the left.  Please call to make a reservation with your prefered stylist on 01473 215531 or book online.  With over 20 cutting sections, we are also pleased to advise that we can normally welcome "walk-in customers".  However, at peak times (generally from 10am to 2pm most days, all day some Fridays and Saturdays and during school holidays), we do get fully booked, so pre-booking is advisable.

Parking can be found in the basement of the shopping centre.

Dee also has a 2nd salon, in Le Mesnil Adelee, Lower Normandy, France, which has been welcoming English and French customers since March 2009.  This salon operates by appointment only.  Customers are assured of the same warm welcome and expertise that they have come to expect and enjoy at the Ipswich branch!
